i was wanted to get this out before i forgot about it . i was listening to jack johnson's hope and a thought occurred to me . one its line is 'just hope you're not alone' or something like that . and i was just thinking how we dont like to be alone .
is it just human nature to always want to be around others or is it just an individual's way of life ? why are we so afraid to be alone ? thats just what i was thinking of . and to me , i think it is human nature to not be alone because we fear that if we are alone then our lives arent filled . and we just want to live a life that is worth living for . well , thats my opinion . if you have another one or a similar one , tell me ! i am willing to listen . lool .

THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT ME !
i was just sitting at my laptop thinking . and then a thought occurred to me . i havent blogged in the longest time ever . i think my last post was about umm ... nothing . i think thats right . lol . well , i thought that today's post should have a meaning behind it .
well , i thought that today's post should be about arranged marriages / dating . lol . this is very close to home for me anyways . let me just say that someone in my family is being set up with a close family friend . today was step one in my parent's and the other victim's parents plan to bring the two 'unlucky in love' people into a relationship where love and money will be exchanged . lol . see , this is how asian parents get their way in their children's lives . this is one of the most outrageous things that i have ever heard in my life . and i have heard many outrageous things . lol .
i think i should give you guys a little lowdown on how this system for those who are unfamiliar in this area . it happens when two sets of parents (mainly its the mothers who then rope the fathers in. i dont understand why the fathers dont fight this but i guess thats how asian works) agree that their child is not that lucky in the 'love' department and that the other child is a perfect match for the other . the meetings start out secret then become more public as the couple in the mind date plans become more apparent .
these are the steps:
1. the two sets of parents come together and agree that their child is perfect for the other child in mind
2. secret meetings take place (mostly over the phone) on how each child acts and what are their likes and dislikes
3. the parents set a 'date' at one of the houses
4. the parents assess the couple's interaction with each other, emails and phones are usually exchanged at this point
5. the parents come together to discuss their 'findings'
6. they set up another 'date' and access their 'progress'
7. the boy's parents demand that the son takes the girl in mind out on a date
8. hopefully , a series of dates occur
9. boy proposes to the girl with the parent's permission
10. the couple get married
11. couple has many children and live a happy life together .
thats the plan which asian parents follow according to my knowledge and findings .
i asked my mum why she is was doing and this was basically her answer 'this way i know that the person is from a good family and isnt going to abandon my child later in the future . and oh, i know the family and they will provide the child with money and a good life'
ahh , the true motive is revealed . money and a good life . oh well , what happens happens . lol . let me wish the two in mind good luck but i highly doubt that they will get together . lol .
